How We Work
Creating a new kitchen or bathroom can be an enjoyable experience. From design to customer support, you’ll love our personalized service.
Step 1: Explore Your Style
Renovating or building a new kitchen or bathroom provides the opportunity to create a space made just for you.
Explore household design magazines like House & Home, online design sites such as Pinterest or Houzz, or your favorite interior designer shows - perhaps you love HGTV's Love It or List It Vancouver (we supply their cabinetry). Create a folder of images and ideas that capture your home style and design tastes.
Step 2: Think About Your Lifestyle
Are you the type of person who loves to entertain in your kitchen? Maybe you just want to create a functional space that will help the kids (or your husband) find the Tupperware. Or are you ready to relax into retirement and enjoy the finer things in life?
This step is about your new kitchen complementing your lifestyle now, and for years to come.
Step 3: Document Your Space
A Merit kitchen and bathroom designer always measures your space at the beginning of your project, but should you wish to document it before we do our part, here are three steps to follow:
- Big Picture: Draw the room shape and note all measurements of size, length and height of each wall.
- Details: Where are the doors, windows, water supplies, electrical outlets, appliances, and any other important features located?
- Functionality: What elements would you like to have in your new kitchen or bathroom space? Make a list of all your must-haves, nice-to-haves, and any design styles you like.
Step 4: Let Your Inner-Designer Out
Our kitchen and bathroom designers will introduce you to the latest innovations and trends in new cabinetry function and design. We will showcase Merit Kitchens customizable cabinetry, as well as countertops, backsplashes and other design elements to match your home ideas, lifestyle and taste. All you have to do is let your inner designer out!
Step 5: Order Your Cabinets
With your final kitchen or bathroom designs approved by you, we will assist with your new cabinetry and other design elements to be ordered.
Step 6: Installation
The Merit Design Centre in Langley will contact you to confirm a delivery date and time to suit your schedule once your new bathroom and/or kitchen cabinets are ready. We coordinate with the installer on your behalf, and take care of all the final details.
